Wet Weather
If the weather is wet please check this wedding blog on the morning of the wedding for updates. Our plan B is to hold the ceremony at the Mosman Art Gallery and Community Hall instead. If you are confirmed for the bus it will pick you from Central Station and take you to the Mosman Art Gallery. We will also text you on the day of the wedding if the venue should change.
Getting to Glafy & Braz' Lunch on 23rd Jan
Glafy and Braz Goes live in Camden which is a suburb quite far out of Sydney. We recommend that if you don't have a car you take the train from either Town Hall station or Central station to Leumeah.
We have organised for cars to pick you up in Leumeah and take you to the party. We will do the same in reverse when you wish to leave.
If you wish to take the train please ensure you are at Town Hall station by 10.49am for your train.
Any problems please call Pam on 0457 888 668.

Long Haul Travel Tips
Your holiday time is precious so ensure you have the most comfortable and pleasant long haul flight so you arrive fresh and ready for fun. Here are a few top tips to make the plane journey better and help you to get over your jet lag quicker:
1) Try to ensure you are tired before you take your flight, have a good walk around the airport after your check in as you will be sitting down for 24hrs on the plane and it is good to get the blood flowing.
2) Take an empty water bottle with you on to the plane. Get this refilled by the airline staff once you are on the plane so you can drink plenty of water throughout the flight. Avoid alcohol - there will be plenty when you get to Australia!
3) Wear comfy clothes and ensure you have lots of layers so whether you are in a cold airport or hot plane you will have the right clothing. A spare bit of cosy socks to put on once you are on the plane will help you sleep.
4) Take a neck pillow to avoid those jerking head moments as you drift off and also pain in your neck when you wake up.
5) Take some sleeping tablets when you start the longest part of your flight. I use Ambien or Stillnox and take a couple of tablets when the flight takes off to ensure I get 8 hours sleep. Speak to your doctor before you go and they can prescribe something that suits.
6) Take a small washbag on the plane with deodorant, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste etc so you can freshen up before you arrive.
7) Make sure you take a good book!

The Wedding Week
With so many international guests and also the fact we don't get to see our friends and family in Sydney so often, we have put together lots of activites for the week of the wedding.
We hope you can make it to some or all of the events as we would love to spend as much time with you as possible. We also want the Harrison family to get to know the Goes family and for all our friends to meet.

1930's Flair
The dress code for the wedding is smart with 1930's flair - please don't let this worry you! There are heaps of outfits in the shops that already have a vintage look.
Alternatively some ideas for customising your existing outfit to give it some 1930's flair include wearing:
1930's style jewellery or hair pieces
a 1930's hat
carrying a fan or parasol
getting some 1930's style shoes
If you need any more inspiration we recommend watching the movie 'Easy Virtue' which has great costumes and is also very funny! Drop us a line if you need any more help.
